Alyssa Valdez And Kiefer Ravena Are Relationship Goals
In a world full of 7.4 billion people, how lucky can you get in finding the man or the woman of your dreams?
They say it takes long to find your perfect match but when a Phenom falls for another Phenom, isn’t it a lovely case of destiny?
Maybe these two just got lucky. Or maybe the gods of sports brought them together because duh, a Phenom is meant only for another Phenom.
Earlier this month, Ateneo King Eagle and two-time UAAP Men’s Basketball MVP Kiefer Ravena, and Ateneo Queen Eagle and three-time UAAP Women’s Volleyball MVP Alyssa Valdez confirmed their romance on national television. Just recently, the King Eagle surprised his Queen during her fans day, serenading her in front of hundreds of screaming fans. And when we say screaming, they were literally on top of their lungs. Why not, it’s KiefLy, holding hands in front of them for real!
They say they are the ultimate OTP, a powerhouse relationship decorated with championship rings, numerous awards, endorsements, TV shows, guestings and highly coveted sports deals and offers. But these are just not all that is to envy about the MVP couple. There are so much more to what this tandem can do out of their relationship.
To be a Phenom is one thing. To be with another Phenom is another. Here’s why Alyssa Valdez and Kiefer Ravena are the ultimate #RelationshipGoals:
They bring out the best in each other.
They are each other’s support system. They’ve been spotted in each other’s games, cheering from the sidelines. They also send “Good luck” tweets from time to time. In fact, there was one time Kiefer Ravena went straight from airport to San Juan arena, setting aside jetlag from his LA trip just to support his girl on her game. Ugh, isn’t he the sweetest?
They inspire the young ones.
They aren’t Phenoms for nothing. Kiefer Ravena is the best basketball player in his generation. Alyssa Valdez is the best volleyball player in her generation, too. Realizing that the younger ones look up to them and consider them their idols, they both set up separate outfits that promote the sport through skills camps, tournaments and other activities.
Kiefer Ravena has RackSports to promote basketball to different parts of the country while Alyssa Valdez has Crosscourt to bring volleyball to a wider audience. They work together, too, sometimes, just like during the third Fastbr3ak Charity event where they teamed up in organizing a volleyball exhibition match with other athletes and celebrities. The result? They got to raise half a million for the typhoon Nona victims. The Phenoms that help together, stay together, yes?
They get to travel together for a cause.
Couples do travel, yes, but to be able to travel together for a cause make it all worthwhile. Just recently, Kiefer and Alyssa, along with San Sebastian Lady Stag Grethcel Soltones, got invited to an exhibition match in London and Italy. They also got to meet and greet the Filipino communities and encouraged them to play the sport. And oh, what couples do in Europe! Walk hand in hand under the Eiffel Tower? Or maybe lock their love through pad locks in the romantic city of Paris? We’ll never know, but their Instagram pictures show.
To some, they’re just a boy and a girl who happened to fall in love. To sports fans, they’re two influential athletes who, when together as a team (or a couple), can create a huge impact in basketball and volleyball. True enough, the Phenom couple is the real MVP.
