Crown Regency Boracay: Fun Day Out At The Water Park

There are many things to do in Boracay—parasailing, banana boat, flying fish, island hopping, and other activity staples offered by many tour coordinators at the beachfront. Those are pretty standard, but did you know that there’s a water park on the island? Crown Regency Boracay offers a wide range of water activities and attractions within its hotel grounds for everyone to enjoy.

Crown Regency Boracay

Crown Regency humbly houses an exhibit of marine life with the Pearl of the King as its highlight. The said Pearl is the world’s largest pearl weighing 8.9 kilograms and measuring at 18 inches in diameter. It is larger than the more popular Pearl of Allah, also known as Pearl of Lao Tzu. The Pearl of Lao Tzu only weighs 6.4 kilograms and measures 9.45 inches in diameter. However, both were discovered in Palawan, Philippines.

Here are some of the things you can sign up for in Crown Regency.

Tsunami Wave Swimming Pool

Crown Regency Boracay

This is not your typical swimming pool. It is an outdoor pool that generates artificial waves resembling the waves of the ocean. The waves are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Hotel guests and kids below 5 years old can access this for free.
Non-hotel guest – PHP 300 (5 to 10 years old), PHP 600 (11 years old and below)

Wave Rider

Crown Regency Boracay

If you’ve been dying to try out surfing but too scared to brave the waves of the ocean, then try the Wave Rider. It’s not as easy as it looks, but there are instructors in the area to help you out, so total newbies (like us) are welcome here! It will leave you feeling like a surf star after an hour of fun.

Hotel guests – PHP 2,400 for 1 hour, good for 2 pax
Non-hotel guests – PHP 3,000 for 1 hour, good for 2 pax

Oceanarium Tunnel Walk With Marine Show

Just at the basement of the hotel are the Oceanarium and Ocean Bar. The Oceanarium exhibits the rich marine life and offers an informative tour with the added attraction of a mermaid show. Families with kids would love this!

Hotel guest – PHP 300 (6 to 10 years old), PHP 400 (11 years old and above)
Non-hotel guest – PHP 300 (6 to 10 years old), PHP 600 (11 years old and above)
Kids below 6 years old are free. All rates are inclusive of free snacks at the Ocean Bar.

Aquarium Ocean Walk

Crown Regency Boracay

This is the best among all the other activities. Remember the Oceanarium tunnel walk and the Pearl of the King? You can actually walk inside the Oceanarium, feed the fish, and touch the largest pearl in the world!

Before the walk, you will be briefed by their divers. Then, they will accompany you the whole time underwater. It’s not easy to find balance, but after a few minutes, you’ll get the hang of it. Halfway through the Oceanarium, you will be doing the fish feeding. It’s way better than fish feeding during helmet diving because the fish here are bigger.

The whole experience is definitely one for the books and one you can brag about. Don’t forget to show off that photo with the Pearl of the King!

Crown Regency Boracay

You can also opt for the Aquarium Scuba Diving, but Ocean Walk is just as exciting! Both activities are available from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Just make sure you book beforehand so they can prepare the equipment for you.

Rates for Aquarium Ocean Walk:
Hotel guest – PHP 1,000 /15 minutes
Non-hotel guest – PHP 1,500 /15 minutes

Rates for Aquarium Scuba Diving:
Hotel guest – PHP 2,500 /30 minutes
Non-hotel guest – PHP 3,000 /30 minutes

Expect a day of fun, excitement, and learning at Crown Regency Boracay. The hotel and its attractions are worthy add-ons to your usual itinerary of water activities at the beachfront. After our experience, we found ourselves smiling ear to ear and wanting to do everything again the next day!
