Gringo Restaurant: Meet Your New Amigo

Have you heard about the BBQ party Gringo is hosting in BGC? Okay, he’s not a real person, Gringo is an “it.” It is just as welcoming as a real person hosting festive get-togethers with amigos. Gringo Restaurant is a new concept from the same people who brought us Tokyo Bubble Tea and Honeybon Café, and its BGC branch recently opened its doors to welcome all of you to the feast!

Gringo serves finger-lickin’ Latin American and Tex-Mex specialties that highlight chicken and ribs. It is not exactly a BBQ party, but the vibe sure is like that. Just take a look at their interior, it radiates a fun, cozy, and high-spirited celebration of good food and good friends. The menu is also very amusing to read; it’s like Gringo entertaining you on what to expect in the party.

Gringo’s specialties

As an invite to Gringo’s new branch at BGC, they sent us a box of house specialties—Southern Spice Chicken, and of course, baby back ribs! We thought it was the best party invite we have ever received, food in a box right at our doorstep!

The Southern Spice Chicken is easy to fall in love with. You can really taste the spices without being too overwhelming. The flavors were packed so well in the chicken meat making this dish an exciting combo of tender, smoky, and flavorful. For an extra kick, try it with Gringo’s original sauces—the lemon herb is the best!

Gringo’s baby back ribs are not your ordinary kind of ribs. The juiciness only means that it was cooked to perfection with their signature barbecue sauce and special marinade. You’ll taste the spices and citrus notes in the meat which make the dish different from the usual sweetness of barbecue sauce. These baby back ribs are so tender that the meat instantly splits off the bones, definitely not to be missed at Gringo!

What makes Gringo’s Southern Spice Chicken and baby back ribs even more special? Pair them with your favorite side dishes. You can choose from Mexican rice, marbled potato salad, buttered corn, mashed camote (sweet potato), garlic mushrooms, roasted squash and a lot more! Each one is dedicatedly made to match the main courses.
