While a weekly burger keeps American fashion model Gigi Hadid sane, a burger from Hugot Burgers will instantly make you an unsung poet of hugots (words that draw out emotions from deep within).

“Mapapahugot ka sa sarap” is the promise of Hugot Burgers, a burger joint that recently opened in Bacoor, Cavite. The place welcomes burger lovers who want to eat their feelings away and express their deepest sentiments in love and life. Nothing to hugot about? That’s not a problem because their burgers are worth the visit! Just see how the owners playfully named their burgers and even dedicated a freedom wall where you can read (and write) numerous quotable declarations!

The story behind the hugot

Hugot Burgers

Hugot Burgers is the brainchild of mountaineers J-ferson Zembrano, Faye Magtira, and Julious Lara. When asked how they came up with the idea, they said that it all started in one of their climbs. A friend was nursing a broken heart that time. Whenever he was left behind the trail, he would shout, “Sige, iwanan niyo na ko! Sanay naman akong iniiwan eh! And the hugots just went on from there. J-ferson said, “Nahawa na rin kami sa paghugot niya.”

Pag umaakyat, ang daming hugot,” Faye added. Eventually, they all decided to put up a business inspired by their hugot moments in the mountains.

Eat through the pain and get over your ex with the taste of The Break Up (TBU). This triple patty burger with bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pineapples, cucumber, egg, and onions is enough to put that old relationship behind you. It is savory and delicious, and considering its price (PHP 149.00) and size, this burger is worth every peso!

If you are a lovelorn person caught in a dreaded situation, you can get a combo of Kaibigan Lang Pala (KLP) and Friendzone Fries. This winning combo will remind you that being in the friend zone is not the end of the world. The end of the world is not having burger and fries in your life! The fries are generously smothered with cheese and ketchup, which make them a perfect addition to any hugot burger.
