La Cozina Boracay: From Curiosity to Dining Satisfaction
If you’re looking for a chill yet inviting place in Boracay where you can enjoy sipping sangria while engaging in friendly chatter with your companions, look no further than La Cozina Boracay.
What attracted us to La Cozina were their churros! We saw their takeaway churros being patronized by visitors on the island, and our curiosity led us to their lovely restaurant.
Delightful foodie find
La Cozina, formerly called Cozina Authentic Spanish, used to be an all-Spanish cuisine restaurant, but the owner recreated the menu to include some Latin American dishes. Despite this, the restaurant retained its bestsellers and made sure to add equally yummy new menu items, like their famous churros and tacos.
La Cozina’s interiors are very modern and clean, done up in colors of black, yellow, and natural wood. It may look a little less homey for some, but their down-to-earth menu coupled with reasonable prices has made it a fast favorite for Boracay foodies.
Big servings and big flavor
We decided on their marinated beef tacos with aioli dressing, and the baby back ribs with fried rice. We were surprised to see big servings on our table—always a plus, especially when dining in big groups!
The baby back ribs were so perfectly cooked that the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender. The melt-in-your-mouth ribs, flavors from the sauce, and spices from the fried rice all blended so well together. You will seriously want that extra rice!
We were also happy with our order of beef tacos. The generous amount of spiced marinated beef in the tacos made for a filling meal. Don’t forget to add the dressings! La Cozina prepares their food fresh every day, including the soft tortillas, and the amazing chimichurri and chipotle condiments.
Churros and chocolate
For dessert, we naturally tried their famous churros, also known as the best churros in the island. Believe it or not, the chocolate used is locally sourced. We appreciated this as it’s a great effort to help the local community and expose their products to a wider audience.
Of course, our meal wouldn’t be complete without drinks! We had their red sangrias with our late lunch. La Cozina is the perfect place for an afternoon sangria or margarita. They have amazing cocktails, and the beachfront spot is perfect for people-watching or just gazing at the beach. They also have happy hour daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. so that you can expect good deals on your drinks.
Everything was so filling, and we enjoyed our meal so much! Needless to say, our initial curiosity was most certainly satisfied by La Cozina. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this for Boracay visitors who are looking for a good meal with great value for money to keep them in a good mood.
La Cozina Boracay is located on the ground floor of Zuzuni Boutique Hotel, beachfront of Station 1. Just walk a little past Starbucks if you’re coming from D’Mall. You’ll easily spot their inviting grab-and-go churros con chocolate. For more information, visit their Facebook page.
