Movies To Watch In June: The Heavy Hitters Are Rounding Up Your Summer

We are halfway through the year! Can you believe it? So many movies have come that got us lining up at the cinemas on the first day of the movie release! 2017 isn’t done yet, though. It seems to be the gift the keeps on giving! Lined up for this month are even more exciting movies to watch in June!

1Wonder Woman

Director: Patty Jenkins
Starring: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Robin Wright

One of the greatest women, if not the greatest, is coming to the big screen. DC’s Wonder Woman is finally going to be out in theaters first day of this month as if to welcome us in such a grand matter. Gal Gadot stars as princess of Amazons who discovers her even greater powers when she sets out to fight in the war to end all wars. This is one of the most-awaited movies of the year and we can’t wait to get a hold of our passes to it.

2The Mummy

Release Date: June 7, 2017
Director: Alex Kurtzman
Starring: Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Willis

No, this one’s definitely not a sequel of The Mummy movie we have seen years back. This one is a whole different story on a different level of demented. A Mummy has been woken up from the dead who doesn’t only physically wreak havoc but also crumples the human mind in a psycho thriller way. This action, adventure, fantasy film stars Tom Cruise and he is doomed to clear the modern world out of the monster that is The Mummy. We know Tom is going top your list of movies to watch in June. 😉

3Can We Still Be Friends?

Release Date: June 14, 2017
Director: Prime Cruz
Starring: Gerald Anderson, Arci Munoz

The Lablab love team is back with yet another film that tickles our curiosity. This Arci Munoz-Gerald Anderson movie might just answer one of the biggest questions in the dating world: can exes be friends? We sure want to know if it’s possible or not to set things straight. That’s why we’ll definitely be in line for this one. We might bring our exes while we’re at it. (Just kidding.)

4Despicable Me 3

Release Date: June 14, 2017
Director: Pierre Coffin, Kyle Balda
Starring: Steve Carell, Kristen Wig, Trey Parker

The kids will be back to school for movies to watch in June but they will not be missing out on the fun. Despicable Me is back with its third instalment. This time, with twice as much chaos. Gru has found his match, quite literally at that too. He meets his twin brother who is just as loathsome. Well, of course, the minions are back with all their chaos. Twice the fun and third time’s the charm!

5Transformers: The Last Knight

Release Date: June 21, 2017
Director: Michael Bay
Starring: Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins

There is chaos in the universe. Optimus Prime goes back to his home planet, one that which he discovered he has destroyed. The Transformers are at war with humans. Amidst all this, here is a story definitely worth watching for a load of adventure.

647 Meters Down

Release Date: June 28, 2017
Director: Johannes Roberts
Starring: Mandy Moore, Clair Holt, Matthew Modine

What if your relaxing vacation and a supposed thrilling adventure turns into a nightmare? In this movie 47 Meters Down, we will see a different scene we’re used to seeing Mandy Moore in. A thrilling adventure with shark interaction turned awry—this is the premise of the story. The viewing cage that allows two women be close to sharks gets derailed off its chains detaching them from the boat they were attached to. They end up 47 meters below water surface and with little oxygen left. How do they survive that? Well, that what we have yet to see in these movies to watch in June.

7Rough Night

Release Date: June 28, 2017
Director: Lucia Aniello
Starring: Jillian Bell, Kate Mckinnon, Scarlett Johansson

How can a bachelorette party go completely wrong? Kill the stripper that’s how. A seriously fun night turned crazier when a hired stripper got killed in what could have been a sexy dance. The rest of the story, that’s what we’re excited to see. This may look like The Hangover, only it’s a bachelorette but this might just be on another level of fun and crazy!

We’re definitely excited for the movies to watch in June just as how we are every month! Let us know which ones you are dying to see!
