Sol Y Sombra Boracay: Your Charming Retreat From A Sunny Beach Day
In the past few years, Boracay has been known as a definite tourist spot. As such, sometimes the places to stay at and hang out feel rather generic. Cookie cutter hotel rooms with no personality don’t appeal to travelers who consider the island their respite. This is why it’s a good idea to find accommodations that will truly help you feel rested.
One of the hotels you can consider to make your next Boracay trip truly memorable is Sol y Sombra Boracay, a charming place which keeps traveler experience in mind.
Stepping into Sol y Sombra
The first thing that strikes you about Sol y Sombra Boracay is that it is beautiful. It is designed with a rustic yet elegant interior of grays and whites. Inspired by the owner’s life in Spain, Sol y Sombra directly translates to Sun and Shade—Sun representing the beach or the island, and Shade representing the comfortable retreat that the hotel offers.
Located a few steps away from White Beach in Station 1, Sol y Sombra is tucked away from the beachfront.
Beautiful, rustic interiors
The room we stayed in, which was the Double Room, was spacious and even suitable for four people. The interior is truly well-executed. It’s such a wonder to see how a few well-chosen decor created very tastefully designed rooms while maintaining simplicity and elegance! It almost makes you wish it was your room back home.
The bed was cozy, and there are more than enough pillows for a good night’s sleep. It’s so thoughtful when a hotel puts more than two pillows on the bed without extra charge.
Take your time to take photos of the room details because everything is very Instagrammable—from the small artworks plastered on the wall to the throw pillows on your bed.
Sol y Sombra only has five rooms, which makes it a cozy boutique hotel. However, you can be sure that because of its small size, they can pay more attention to their guests.
It has the basic amenities you will need for a comfortable stay like toiletries, electric kettle, coffee and tea, airport transfers, generator set, and tours and activities arrangements. They do have a couple of family rooms for big groups, so all kinds of travelers are welcome here.
Not only is Sol y Sombra accessible to the beach, but there’s also a 24-Hour Mini Stop, medical clinic, and ATM at the ground floor of the building.
With interiors that are easy on the eyes and a charming vibe, you can be sure that Sol y Sombra will be your restful retreat after a long day soaking up the sun in Boracay.
